Note on foul biting:There is a fingerprint at the upper left corner and a grip mark from a tool at the lower right corner. There is fine pitting with possible fabric marks creating shadow to the left of the figure. There are further fabric marks, more deeply etched, at the lower left of the figure and lighter ones near her right arm and shoulder. There is an area bounded by a fluid line around the right and lower edge that suggests that stopping out varnish was once applied, or it perhaps overlapped from the verso.
