PRINTING

Of the known impressions of this etching, most are in black ink on laid paper, including two on ivory paper with a Strasbourg Lily watermark (Graphic with a link to impression #K0900202,Graphic with a link to impression #K0900207) and one on cream 'modern' (post-1800) laid Van Gelder paper (Graphic with a link to impression #K0900201); one, however, is on cream wove paper (Graphic with a link to impression #K0900204). The binding complicates measuring those impressions still in volumes, but the paper can vary in size from at least 235 x 382mm (Graphic with a link to impression #K0900207) to 240 x 322 mm (Graphic with a link to impression #K0900207).
