TECHNIQUE

An unfinished drypoint.

PRINTING

It was published in the 'Cancelled Set' by The Fine Art Society in London in 1879. All known impressions are from the cancelled plate, and all are printed in black ink. One is on cream wove paper (Graphic with a link to impression #K1370208) but most are on ivory (Graphic with a link to impression #K1370203) or cream (Graphic with a link to impression #K1370202) laid paper, some with a watermark: a horned crown (Graphic with a link to impression #K1370207) and Strasbourg Lily (Graphic with a link to impression #K1370210).
