The copper plate is the same size as an etching of the same date, Eagle Wharf [50], and marginally larger than Old Hungerford Bridge [76]. It is stamped with the same maker's mark as Eagle Wharf, 'HUGHES & KIMBER / MANUFACTURERS/ RED LION SQUARE / FLEET STREET / LONDON'.
It was published in the 'Thames Set' in 1871, and cancelled with a grid of horizontal and vertical lines.
It was bought by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) in 1896, and is now in the Freer Gallery of Art with other plates from the 'Thames Set'. 11
