The copper plate is stamped on the verso by Whistler's favourite suppliers, 'HUGHES & KIMBER / MANUFACTURERS / RED LION SQUARE / FLEET STREET / LONDON' . The plate is similar in size to Limehouse [48]. The plate was steel-faced but not cancelled.

It was bought by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) and is now in the Freer Gallery of Art. 13
