Print tone:There is a selective use of print tone that is more pronounced in the foreground water and selected sections of the building and middle ground.  
Note on foul biting:There is very fine granular tone used to give shadow and solidity to the boat, figures, balcony etc.  
Print note:There are loosely horizontal wipe marks evident in the foreground. In the foreground there is also slight reticulation of ink, or possibly the surface texture of paper affected the absorption of ink.
