Print note:See Freer 1898.411 with more pronounced foul biting and plate scratches; light plate tone within plate mark with sharp edges carefully manipulated; faint horizontal scratches and burnishing marks visible in blank area below cliffs at centre right; Freer owns the copper plate, which has been compared to this impression; perhaps one of about 25-30 impressions printed posthumously (see letter from him to CLF dated XXX). See folder note transcribed for 1913.198.
